Ofgem’s Latest FIT Figures Highlights Popularity of Solar PV

Ofgem released its latest FIT figures yesterday, which highlighted the growing popularity of Solar PV as a form of renewable energy.

Just has been the case with figures released in previous quarters, solar PV has been shown to be the most popular of all renewable technologies under the feed-in tariff (FIT) scheme, accounting for over 96% of all installations registered between 1 January and 31 March 2011.

Following the trend in the first nine months of the scheme, the proportion of photovoltaic capacity increased in most regions. To date there have been 28,608 photovoltaic installations recorded by Ofgem.
